Ji Hai Year of Pig

It’s Chinese New Year again. Every year people talk about whether the new yeark tradition is fading away. And yet every year people repeat all the trivial matters according their customized new year traditions.

There are some unconventional new year goods in the market. I don’t know what the “little” in “little Japanese peanuts” referes to.

Little japanese peanuts, is it peanuts of little japanese or little peanus of japanese?

The comming year is pig year, and there were pig themed stuff everywhere. However, it was not a good idea to have maneki buta instead of maneki neko.

There is a maneki buta besides maneki neko. It looks thrilling and has a upside down Fu on its belly.

City of Shenyang

It was so cold during the new year in Shenyang, I couldn’t keep my tears from dripping down my cheeks. It reminded me of the early mornings when I biked to middle school.

It's a cold morning. There are barely no people at the Middle Street.

People were skating on the lake in Qingnian park. The water was no longer stinky. The buildings around the lake had changed since my childhood.

As a kid I used to learn skating in this lake. The water smelt bad back then, and I would wear it home after the ice in my cloth melted.

Here used to be a small street garden, and I came for some fun time after school.

Butters’ Life

I thought Liaoning would create the longest winning streak in the CBA history. But they lost to Shenzhen just before this one. However I have already bought the tickets, my cousin and I went to see the game anyway.

I bought the tickets on Taobao and got a message noticing me and the location of picking up the tickets. It was in a dark sedan parking in a dark lot. People lined outside the front seat window, it looked like certain scenes in the TV shows.

The stadium was quite nice. They borrowed a lot from NBA games, such as Kiss cams and human waves. But the audience were much less enthusiastic, probably due to cultural difference.

I bought the tickets on taobao and got a message about where and when to get the tickets. It was in a dark car inside a dark parking lot. It reminded me a common scene in TV shows.

The live game is quite nice, but the fans are not as enthusiastic as of NBA.

I wanted to visit the book store at some night, and forgot it was St Valentine’s night. Therefore I became the casual dresser around all the beautiful women and men. A young boy and girl were in front of me buying icecream.

I went shopping for icecream. A young couple were in front of me.

After the new year break, my weight came back to three digits again. The loser project season two was initiated when I got back to Beijing.

It's almost spring. The trees are showing a hint of green but no blossom yet. The park tied fake pink flowers on peach trees. Only a tiny wintersweet tree has some real little yellow flowers.

It looks like a yellow version of Senbon Torii.

White and Eva Meet Again

I brought Eva back to Shenyang for the new year break. So Eva and White met again. The White was so excited that he followed Eva everywhere sniffing. But Eva seemed not a fan of the White. She didn’t like him approaching.

Don’t let White’s cuteness fool you. He’s actually a mean cat.
